We were inspired to feature U2 in this week's playlist after watching the documentary, Bono & The Edge: A Sort of Homecoming, with David Letterman.
One of the most significant bands for Generation X, U2 bridged rock, pop, and sociopolitical commentary.
With Bono's evocative lyrics and The Edge's innovative guitar work, the band leveraged their fame to champion causes like human rights, poverty alleviation, and international diplomacy.
